Are there time limits to sue for injuries in a Florida boating accident case?

Video Transcription:

Yes, there are two time limits that you must be aware of. First, if you are a passenger on a cruise ship, the ticket contract generally incorporates a one year statute of limitation. Otherwise, if you’re a crew member or if you’re injured in a pleasure boating accident, jet ski, sport fish, anything like that, there’s a three year federal statute of limitations. Many non-practitioners, non-admiralty lawyers make the mistake of applying the Florida four year statute of limitation. When that happens, you’ve lost your case.
